I was wondering if iPhones have a /light sensitive mode, and they do have something that helps (at least for me)! You can make bright colors more dull and turn down the regular brightness to make it easier on your eyes.

Screenshot of iPhone vision accessibility menu. Reduce white point is turned up to 100%.

F*ck it. I want to know how much grad students pay or make around the world - we don't have that info. Anybody want to add to this thread? I am doing a PhD in microbiology at UNC-Chapel Hill. I make $32,000 USD per year before tax, and my tuition/fees are paid for.

My body does not work as well as it used to. My mouth is just fine. Ask for consent before assisting a human with a disability. And, as you would with any other human, ask for consent before you put hands on another’s body.

Business, economics, and tourism degrees do not qualify you to “coach” children into a restrictive diet culture

My first diet was in 7th grade. It took me 10 years to develop a healthy relationship with food that wasn’t focused on restriction and guilt. These are LIFELONG WOUNDS

If your argument is still ‘but being overweight is unhealthy’, then you’ve missed the entire point. WEIGHT STIGMA KILLS.

I’m up way past my bedtime because I’m livid about & teaming up to harm future generations. Keep your fat phobic, weight stigmatizing products away from our most vulnerable. Making an app to make dieting cool is despicable.

Only took approximately 40 minutes for to be listed as "Trending" on Twitter. In 40 minutes, how many kids have signed onto an app that could cause a lifetime of disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and weight cycling?

Tracking every bite is not an accurate sense of what a body needs, it’s disordered. Giving foods a ‘red light’ isn’t mindful, it’s fear-mongering. Sharing weight loss photos of kids isn’t motivation, it’s shameful.

Do you remember how sensitive you were as a kid? How personally you took things? What the heck are we doing by asking our children to focus exclusively on finding value in their appearance? I ask bc it’s about weight loss. Not health.

Praise from whom? For what? Can't think of a single positive outcome when the equation factors in any or all of the following: inexperienced "health" coaches, fat-phobia, disordered eating behaviors, food tracking, and CHILDREN.

The true cost of WW’s weight-loss app for children isnt $69/month, it’s a lifetime battle with disordered eating and poor body image. Please read responsibly.

If you are considering for your child because you had a difficult time living in a larger body when you were young, please know that you are not protecting them by encouraging them to diet. Weight stigma harms > weight status. Every time.

Want to teach kids about health? Teach them to TRUST THEIR BODY, let them know YOU trust their body, teach them about weight stigma and how it harms, teach them to be fierce lovers of all body sizes and shapes.

Children should not be taught to fear their body. Children need to know their bodies are right and can be trusted.
