New release of Specter-DIY with support for the new STM32-F469 Discovery board (currently available on Mouser, Digikey, Conrad etc)!
The firmware automatically detects what settings to use based on a connected display. Time to go shopping ;)

A new test board is already ordered and I'll work on a fix as soon as I get it.

For those excited about F469-Discovery boards back in stock for Specter-DIY - don't rush buying it. Today we discovered that STMicro is now manufacturing the board with a different display driver, so we need to update the firmware to make it work again.

And use Specter-DIY with taproot-compatible software wallet like Bitcoin Core (master branch) and Sparrow. Internal key only for now, but taproot multisig and taproot miniscript are coming soon.

This doesn't mean I'll stop working on Bitcoin, I'll keep doing it in my spare time. I think Bitcoin as a hobby fits me better.

This month I started working at - a startup building a quantum computer with ultracold Strontium atoms. It gonna be challenging, but fun! It will take a while before we break ECC though, and I'll keep you posted on the progress ;)

👻Specter v1.9.0 is out!👻
Our most exciting new feature is the extension-model!
This is for developers, and it enables the developer to extend Specter the way he wants to.
Creating extensions is quite simple and straightforward 👇👀

My favorite is 3-of-3 that turns into 2-of-3 in 3 months and to 1-of-3 in half a year:

Under the hood it uses vue + rete.js + rust-miniscript compiled to WASM. I am pretty bad at the whole stack - rust, javascript, vuejs, so suggestions and contributions are very welcome! It can be also pretty buggy for now.

I was always excited about miniscript, so this weekend I wrote a visual policy-to-miniscript converter, all the way from bip39 mnemonics to derived addresses. Check it out on miniscript.fun

New release of Specter-DIY is out. It includes a few minor bugfixes and moves Liquid to production so you don't need to enable it in experimental settings anymore.
Taproot is still experimental as we didn't implement taproot-specific fields for PSBT yet.
