If you’re wondering what “integrative medicine” means, I think this is the best description I’ve heard: “‘integrating’ quackery with conventional medicine”https://respectfulinsolence.com/2018/08/22/scam-nonpharmacologic-treatments-for-pain/ …

I’ll also likely leave this state after graduation or post-doc (we’ll see how that goes) because I literally cannot continue my life by these “integrative medicine”/no medicinal pain relief rules. Just trying to get by & see my own PCP for SOME pain management following above

Cried in my car after this visit. Not only did they make me feel responsible for growths on organs, nerves & blood vessels, but also knowing I’d stay in pain. Can only imagine how it is for people with less autonomy (ability to go to PCP & say “WTF”) & knowledge of health care

They sent you to a whole other doctor for magnesium lotion?
-
Only the best magnesium lotion will do. And some “integrative” md with YouTube videos

Navy pain management was recommending acupuncture and giving me sources for anti inflammatory diet education.

Likely sent you to the doc I saw. Has various blog posts, book, sign up for newsletter, etc.
