The word has changed. Conquest is no longer a means of inquisition of a country. It appears, however, that immigration has replaced conquest. I ndedn't go in to Indian prophesy about White man coming and Indians are caretakers.

Okay, so let’s fast forward a bit. My great-grandparents immigrated to the US from Poland around 1901 (along with 15 million other immigrants between 1900 and 1915, per Library of Congress). Should we have stopped all of them from entering the US?

our grandparents came here through a port of entry, as required by law. They may have been quarantined. They had to have a certain amount of money. They assimilated, learned to speak English, and did not live off of charity. They came here to be Americans. See the difference?

The article is referring to legal immigrants. My grandparents barely spoke English and mostly spent time with family and friends in a Polish area of upstate NY. The only difference is that most immigrants then were white, while most today are brown. It’s racism, pure and simple.

I'll bet your grandparents were proud to be American. If they were older, they seldom developed fluent English, and yes, they had communities but also pride in being Americans. Think, what they had to go through to become Americans. Was that a bad standard?

I agree with all of those points, but how are they any different than newly arrived immigrants now? What makes you think immigrants now are any less proud to be American? How are their communities any different than those of our grandparents?

Good summary I read: they complain when people are "illegal" yet hate when they are legal... its almost like they hate brown people regardless.

So ten million legal immigrants out of 325 million total people = 3% of the total population. Doesn't seem like something to be too concerned about or even noticeable.

Annnnd, because of that the crimes numbers are down.... just a question: we are talking about immigration. What is the relationship between immigration and your question???🤔🤔🤔
