I don't know about the rest of you, but when an employee jumps off the roof at Foxconn I blame the architect first and Isaac Newton second.

And shouldn’t the parents do a lot better job at being parents. Monitor your kids teach respect, morals, manners, how to work hard. If you do something wrong there will be consequences you will be held accountable. If you get in trouble at school you get in trouble at home.

Factually speaking, children spend roughly 18% of their time between birth and graduation from high school in K12 with teachers - the remainder is spent with their families and peers.

Yes teachers have a responsibility to teach our kids. But we have to be parents not their friends. They learn right from wrong, respect, and morals from us. We have to take responsibility. If you feel something is not right don’t turn a blind eye. Love and teach them be parents

That's a very interesting idea....

I may be wrong about this, but every school shooter is an active, or former student of that school. They're not looking for a school at random as a target. It's their school.

Agreed. It goes much deeper than mental health. It has to do with the education culture the kids are raised in. Needs to be seriously looked at.

The same could be said for the culture of the military, the workplace and religious places of worship. After all, such shootings aren’t reserved for schools alone.

Agreed. Problem is most people are tools. They want black and white delivered to them conveniently, without having to read the grey-ish between the lines information found within the very same insight found not only within such media loops, but throughout the internet altogether.

Interesting thought. U may be on to something. Perhaps a look into the connection of mostly boys being diagnosed with ADD/ADHD & class size in elementary level. Also, how does current teaching methods affect girls vs boys mental health?

Read the book "Better Late than Early". It was written in 1975 and we're seeing the Fallout of ignoring the 50 years of studies. You will see how we got the problems of today. It is absolutely eye opening & our government was made aware of the problems that it could create.

It used to be called going postal. Maybe DOE can ask the PO what they did.
