  Sometimes when a spoiled toddler slaps your face (testing your patience) & you give it back, as the kid shows surprise you ask it "Did it hurt?", it will assent in yes with the head, then you say "Well, it hurt me too". The kid will understand you are not the one to play with.

  Anti-rational beliefs are also better displays of loyalty (to whatever) than rational ones. There's no confusion generated by people who happen to agree on the one point for reasonable reasons.
