Replace "white" with "black." Is it still totally progressive and acceptable to say the USA? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Does such a place even exist?
-
of course not
-
I think you missed what I was saying...can we think of a place that went from mostly white to minority white? Plus, what does the colour of skin have to do with anything (as opposed to the values people hold).
-
Nobody's talking about skin color, which is only a superficial aspect of race. We're talking about racial and ethnic displacement.
-
Please elaborate... so I'm white if I like capitalism and democracy and freedom of speech? What's "white" if not the colour of one's skin?
-
"White" is shorthand for people of deep European ancestry, who are a genetically distinct group. Their white skin is just their most obvious aspect. Don't act like you don't know.
-
I don't. Seems like its still arbitrary. Are Italians "white"? Greeks? Spanish?
