@GadgetBoySTL about time don’t you think?
No question it was genocide. WW1 was brutal on its own merits without the intentional mass slaughter of the Armenian civilians by the Ottoman/Turks.
Specifically, the Young Turks.
Because of our military base In Turkey , I doubt it will happen. When Obama was running for Pres he told the Armenian Americans he would recognize it!
This has been a very important oversight
WAY overdue! Perhaps those "people" from TYT would like to finally admit it as well...
Wait a minute... TYT... The Young Turks... WTF??

Chunk Yoghurt, you listening?
He wont, because the US caters to the Turks. Same with dispute between Turkey and greece over the islands, greece got after WWI. Turks want them back. US is backing the Turks again. Both turks and greece are in nato.
True Obama wouldn't do it They begged him Yet they still vote Dem
We don’t vote dem. Don’t get it twisted.
Well I live in a town which is 80 percent Armenian. I have friends that are Dems and I registered voters Armenian voters They were mostly Dems Which I don't understand
I’m pretty sure that town is somewhere in California, more and more are waking up.
Will recognizing this as a genocide bring any of the dead back to life? Isn't this as important as calling, or not calling Pluto a planet? It's still the same piece of rock rotating in space.
Thank you for sharing this!
America first.
While I agree that it's past time this was recognized, things are a bit complicated with Turkey right now. You have a NATO power, with the 2nd largest Army in NATO, with an Islamic dictator in-charge, cozying up to Russia... Kicking that hornet's nest may not be the best idea.
Fuck turkey. They're only part of NATO because the cold war allies wanted to get missiles closer to Russia. We aren't dealing with the Soviets anymore. They should be thrown out of NATO and dealt with like north korea.
Much easier said than done. But yeah, NATO needs to completely re-evaluate its relationship with Turkey. Turkey does not have NATO's best interests at heart.
