If one is not religious, there's no reason to circumcise baby boys. It's just a useless, expensive surgery.

Whether it's religious or not, NOBODY has the right to do that to a child. If an adult wants to do it to himself, that's fine - just as it's fine for adults to join any other kind of S & M club. Just leave innocent children out of it. This is no longer the Bronze Age.

Totally ridiculous, barbaric, medieval and unjustified pointless practice. What difference does to make if it's cultural or religious, how is mutilation of children not always a crime.

If so it also ends seperation of church and state. The state will be the supreme ruler of the church. Whilst this case is problematic in that the father denied the parental rights of the mother, there is a vast difference between male (skin) and female (organ) circumcision
