Isn't this legitimately illegal action? Unlees the school is private, schools and teachers are not allowed to partake in politics on campus during work hours, correct?
-
And as an aside, they have now pitted students against each other which will lead to even more division. Well thought out

I thought our kids have the freedom to protest? Wasn’t that the point? I guess it all depends on what side you’re on.

If I was that student I’d bring law suit against the school!

I couldn't be prouder than to have my child come home like that. That's the thing about these protests. Walking out of school doesn't make you brave when you're not going to get in trouble for it. Especially not when it's mandatory.

With public schools being funded primarily through tax dollars, couldn’t one argue this was a misappropriation of funds and let some heads of schools get in a lot of trouble?

Wasn’t this movement started by a student? I don’t remember this being mandatory. He should file a law suit violating his 1st amendment rights.

Aren't we misleading with the description? You're making it sound like he was punished for not participating in the "walkout" when there was an alternative choice of a "study hall". It sounds like he just wouldn't leave the classroom for either and couldn't be left unsupervised.
-
Exactly. Molyneux isn't even an American yet he for some reason tries to interject himself in the American political spectrum daily as if to cause unneeded chaos.
-
I don't mind if he's not an American and if he has something legitimate to say. It just seems like I've seen this article all over Twitter and it appears if nobody actually read past the headline.
-
It's pretty shady if you're not an American and you don't live in America yet 24/7 you concern yourself with our politics. It seems as though all people like that do is spread conspiracy and stir the shit pot.
-
If he has good ideas that we can use, I welcome any and all input, complaining that he isn't American so nobody should listen to anything he has to say on a topic comes off a little nationalistic and narrow-minded.
-
Well he has nothing good to say. He's all conspiracy, propaganda, snark and hate.
-
I could agree on some of that, but generalizing that he has NOTHING good to say and that he's ALL conspiracy, propaganda, snark and hate means nobody should really take anything you have to say seriously. You're just trying to labeling him quickly and shut down the conversation.
