The story ran for weeks before the retraction. Plenty of time for social media to spread the idea wildly. Then a quiet retraction. #journalismpic.twitter.com/wfUttq8erf

Yep. Just like people still believe in the #peepeetapes lies
Never read original reports, only read retractions.
People need to understand waterboarding was entirely legal and sanctioned at every level at the time..Yet another dishonest democrat “Cry wolf” tactic.
People need to understand that slavery was legal and sanctioned at every level...
People need to understand that abortion is still legal and sanctioned in every way even in our enlightened society today.
Too bad no one cares about retractions anymore.
We can assume she did some bad stuff during the Bush administration years, but if she goes after the Deep State the way she apparently went after terrorists, I support her. The CIA isn't going to be ran by a warm and fuzzy person.
I wouldn't care if they actually did torture the man. Any Islamist deserves to taste their own poison.
So @RandPaul how do you react to this update???
We're in a world were "We got it wrong" is now taking on the meaning of "we were lying all along." Which is very, very bad news.
I formed a negative opinion right away about Gina Haspel. I lumped her into the W neocon group. She may still belong there, and upon further review, I may still feel negative toward her, but I'm frustrated that I fell for this fake news.
Even if she did, it was not illegal or considered "torture" back then. Much ado... about nothing.
Who cares if she did nothing wrong with getting results. Why do we hate success in the west. #waterboardWhenNeeded
