The best way to destroy free speech is to teach the young that certain ideas are pure evil, and then refrain from teaching them how to rationally oppose them.

So true- in the current age of the "Decline of Adults" the immature are not taught the fundamental concepts of logic, rationality, empiricism & how it relates 2 critical thinking with validated facts, statistics, and analysis. This is dangerous for society http://fb.com/declineofadults pic.twitter.com/fWV2GUKpV9

This is an issue on the far college age left but it isn't fair to say "democrats" most democrats over 40 oppose suppression of speech like @billmaher @BernieSanders . And even @TeamPelosi has come out loudly against this. But their friends in academia are not listening at all

Yet another excellent reason to #homeschool our kids Public education can do the following for us; it can come up with a standardized test to evaluate homeschooled kids, public votes on test's validity, reevaluate the test every 2-4 years, Leave me to teach MY kids real knowledge

There is no rationality anymore when people are wholesale systematically disempowered. Rationality = the power of the individual to be right.

Remember debate clubs in high school? Nowadays, however, debate is dead in colleges. Those without an argument handle opposing views by stomping their feet, throwing a temper tantrum, and lashing out. Gee, sounds like my toddler.

In High School I took a public speaking class. One exercise was to stand on a soap box and everyone in the class got to heckle you while you attempted to defend a topic. It taught me how to hang in there and defend myself as a conservative Republican.
