Most of the time it's a liberal democrat minded criminal using said guns for crime!!!
Urban Democrats see guns used by criminals in largely Democrat-run cities. Rural Republicans use guns for sports and self-defense. Think of how a stabbing victim views knives, then think of how a cook views them. Opposite view of guns = opposite view of gun control.

A DC friend recently laughed about rural guns "like they have anything anyone would want to steal!". Reminded her that guns came in handy twice last month: a sick (possibly rabid) raccoon and a deer that had been hit by a truck. We are in different worlds.

The cities in US with ZERO murders or murder index smaller than 1/100 mil hab are the ones with the highest rate of firearms per capita. The Left/Democrats always hide these numbers.

Well partly. Most (Urban) Democrats don't have very wide or strict discipline with guns- like not pointing at anything you don't want to shoot. They're not used to a gun having nothing to do with a fight, it not mattering people are armed, or being the reason for interaction.

For sure I think that's a big part of it. People who have had negative interactions with guns tend not to see the positives associated with ownership.
