Schools remove shop, gym, art and wonder why growing boys seem to outburst in the most inappropriate time. Like math class.

My son was impetuous, busy, creative, pranksterish, adventurous etc...everybody back then was drugging..i did not. He still is the above and SUCCESSFUL. Be careful, folks.

Agreed. My kid is/was a fart in a windstorm. Active mind and body. Schools wanted him drugged - pulled him out and put him in private school. He soared. Type A personalities are energetic &need constant stimulation. It's not easy to keep them interested - DRUGS ARE NOT THE WAY

As a CASA who works with Foster Children I am deeply concerned about this. Foster kids are on these drugs in mass. The drugs help to bury the issues these kids are dealing with instead of allowing them to work them out.. When they stop taking them their problems become volcanic.
-
Often there are more
$s connected to children on these meds.

Instead of testing these kids into complete boredom, then numbing them with meds, get back to having gym classes and recess! Kids are curious and want to play and explore. Not be tested ad nauseum!

They are mostly all wrong. I was hyper as a kid, and it turned out to be boredom due to a high IQ & memory recall. They placed me in more challenging classes. Boys also tend to be more physically outgoing. Today they medicate many kids as a lazy method to control testosterone.

My teacher triednto tell my parents I had ADD when I was in 3rd grade. Luckily my parents knew I was just bored because education is standardized and I didn't need to go over the same question 4 times.

Actually, it's due to people like you that I had to suffer in schools until I was diagnosed at 14. Cut the crap It's a real problem, and older people disregarding it will not solve it I don't know if drugs were the best solution for me, but it sure as Hell was better than nothing
