I blame engineered foods and especially engineered fats which the body can't process or burn so it stores as fat. I look back to my parent's generation (old enough to make it 4 generations ago) and they didn't have obesity problems even though they "allegedly" ate worse than us!
-
I think it's more than that....we used to play , run around or bicycle outside from morning till the street lights went on ,then home for dinner.
-
That is true. I don't think we were ever indoors except to eat, sleep, and do homework.
-
Yep....remember the TV stations had that " it's 10 o clock do you know where your children are" play every night.

I blame technology.. Kids don't want to go outside and ride bikes or play. They want to Snapchat, Instagram, tweet, post their business on fb etc. I had a cell ph as a teen but it wasnt my whole world. Kids are addicted to their phones. It's scary.

I personally consider this a triumph of man over nature . For millennia man has struggled against the scarcity of food until now . Stand back nature and look in awe of our progeny !

Well millennials find it easier to buy junk they can just open or throw in a microwave. Though I must say cutting up chicken and putting it in the oven is a healthier and easy option. I guess they’ve never learned to look up how to cook.
