96% of administrators believe their institutions are effective at preparing students for the workforce. Only 11% of business leaders strongly agreed. Imagine running a restaurant where all the chefs think the meals are decent, but only 11% of customers agree. COLLEGE IS STATISM.

What about the old fashioned idea that Universities are there for us to develop the ability to think; while industry is where we develop practical application?

Administrators often are more focused on pleasing their boards than on the real needs of their students. The strong ties needed between employers & schools are seriously lacking for most students. Without rigorous prep for the world of work, students go on to college w/o a plan.
