Whenever a tragic shooting happens at a school, the left automatically demands gun control. Why does the left never ask why these government-funded public schools don't do a better job of protecting their students? You can't tell me it isn't a fair question.

My daughter is a teacher. She weighs 110 lbs. She would die to shield her students but she would be ineffective. Let her be armed or hire Veterans who know how to keep casualties minimal.

Having armed guards walking around the school would be too much as it would scare the children and would cost too much. A better thing to do would be having stronger doors able to keep out any danger. And training the teachers in what to do too.

Armed guards? Like police officers that are already introduced to school children through the DARE program at a very young age. I don't think it would scare the children, I think it would make them feel safer and build a relationship between students and police officers!

Let the teachers be armed , it’s cheaper . We don’t want a police state . Was the school a “gun free zone”? Did the shooter have a legal firearm ? What can we do ? The shooters get reported but the cops can’t do anything UNTIL they break a law

This school shooting in DWS's district and the NSA incident this morning are on the heels of the release of a Susan Rice CYA email which she implicated Obama & Comey in a Jan 5, 2018 meeting.

Why do the right and the left always have to go here first? We all are failing when we want the shooter to be a certain color or for the shooting to have taken place in a gun free zone. We are a sick society.

Yes I can because that's an idiotic question. Protecting children from automatic weapons fire should be beyond the bounds of what school administrators are tasked with doing.

4)... issues (because in my opinion is more than one) in society that is causing people to MAKE THE CHOICE OF KILLING the killings are still going to happen, they are just going to change the weapon of choice.

And that’s the big difference you can’t kill 17 people with a knife. But you can kill hundreds with machine guns.

True, I agree with you, but let’s say that people start killing by running over people with cars. Is the car evil? So now we have a car problem? You hear how irrational it sounds? The problem is, and it always be the people, not the objects.

We license people and register cars with far more diligence than we treat guns. Your argument is specious and silly.

Your argument do not match the same issue. I have a license to drive a car, can that license stop me from running over a person with my car? Let’s say I don’t have a license, can anyone stop me from running over a person? People drive without a license all the time.

By your argument, we should take all the guns away from everyone, then? One purpose of a license is to hold you responsible for your actions. Without a license, acquiring a car is much more difficult.

Gun control don’t work because of our culture. Thats my point. During the Obama administration the gun sales skyrocketed. I used to work in Remington we sold ammo like candy. During Trump admin Remington is filing for bankruptcy. Why? You can’t tell Americans what to do...
