No, both should be responsible. When you don’t pay for your kid, the child is the one that suffers.

No, children need fathers and mothers need husbands. When men are regarded as nothing more than sperm donaters who provide financial support society suffers.

What? You mean they actually believe in the traditional, nuclear family? How refreshing! :)

I was the child of a single mother. They aren't reliable. Single motherhood is not as good as a two parent households and every study has shown this.

It's not as good as a two parent household, but what do you do when the father (in my case) just don't give a f**k, all of a sudden? When someone completely changes after many years and don't care for anyone but them self. Not even caring for his kids financially.

In my case? I decided to be a better father than I had. All you can do is be the best mother you can, and encourage your children to break the cycle. The past can't be changed. We can only fight for the future.

I will encourage them to break the cycle. I don't like being a single mother. And I don't like that I'm automatically placed in the same box as the single mothers who chose to be for selfish reasons. There sadly is a lot of them...

So many millennial leftists love Japan. The cognitive dissonance must be strong to love a country with such strong, conservative values. Lol

"The country will need to make big changes in order to help its single mothers thrive." Or they could make big changes to reduce the instances of single mother households. I think they accidently let their bias show.

There is no joint custody and the women take on most of the financial burden in Japan.
