        Interesting, especially the Greek number. We heard so much about the Greeks being lazy and being the masters of their own downfall in the Greek crisis. Seems the EU was fibbing, again.

        this could be post-crisis statistics; certainly many Greeks have to work more now to pay their bills. Google "tax evasion Greece"; it's not the EU who forced the Greeks into this "national sport".

        Don't disagree. Nepotism and sponging certainly contributed, plus a Greek elite who had always milked the system, which was fine while the going was good. Spent extended time in Greece, and the people are lovely and facing such a hard time. Sad.
