After years living in the U.S. for 30 years, a 39-year-old immigrant in metro Detroit was deported this morning to Mexico. Escorted by ICE agents, he said bye to wife and 2 kids before boarding. He was brought to US from Mexico when he was 10-yrs-old, too old to qualify for DACA: pic.twitter.com/KFPeweaMbG

How many times could he have left voluntarily and gone through the process the right way? Good riddance to someone with no respect for our laws.

And now, look what he put his family through. Why should he take such a risk? The DNC told him he could break our laws. Surely that contributed to his recklessness.

There's too much glee in your tone for my liking. You can both believe that to have a country you need boarders, and at the SAME time think that this sucks and is sad for the people it directly affected. You seem TOO happy for this result.

I’m usually with you but can’t support this one, you’re legit sharing this out of spit. this man has been in the state since the age of 9. He’s as Americans as any American walking around. He entered illegally and therefore couldn’t get any papers. Not his fault.

He was ordered to leave the country before he had children numerous times. Its not what u think, its not how the MSM is portraying it at all.

Would love to see these orders as well. Because I am in immigrant. They don’t order you. You have a day to leave and the day you don’t you’re an illegal.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but nobody sends any orders. Once your visa expires you’re an illegal. Also this story doesn’t make sense because it says his wife is American but if they’re married isn’t he approved papers?

There's no way to become a legal permanent resident if you entered the country illegaly in the first place.

Green card is the same as legal permanent residence. Work visas again also require that you have never entered the country illegally. I agree there are no excuses. I'm saying let's not assume he didn't think of these obvious options that were simply out of reach.

I’m actually disgusted with how many people are ignorant to the fact it’s not just that simple to immigrate. Lost a lot of respect for Stefan whose well aware of the process since he’s Canadian and probably doesn’t have a way to immigrate legally into the states.

Heh. Don't get disgusted :) Just teach them the specifics of the issue and have them make up their minds with more information at their disposal. We all mature at different pace. Peace.
