        Sorry to disappoint you but there is no viable way to protect the electric grid against an EMP shockwave. Basic physics unfortunately.

        It's nice to know that we will be protected but it would also be an interesting social experiment to see how we could live as the Amish for say a week. I'm quite certain that many individuals would change their life priorities with some introspection.

        EMP is not the only way to take out electrical grids. part of our grid is connected in Canada and China has already demonstrated they can cut off these stations using hacking methods.
