NASA and SpaceX are projects used as public relations fronts to keep the public who are interested in 'space' amused and attention diverted from the real space programs that are 1000 times more advanced, where all the $trillions the Pentagon loses go.

Mars rovers were either a complete psy-op from the beginning or were kept alive long after they stopped working on Mars, again to keep the public amused and their attention diverted. interesting discussion.https://youtu.be/B1tLS1IUnRQ?t=429 …

@idog55 thoughts? Cause I for sure didn't know the government was in the business of giving billions to entrepreneurs so they could make themselves wealthier. -
Kind of a gray area since they are subsidies, they do the same thing with the massive Monsanto farms.
-
Farms feed people. The subsidies also ensure farmers don't starve, close, and no food is produced. Government is actively choosing a private company to fund and support. Wanna talk median income of farmers compared to Musk?

We praise smart, honest businesses and people We praise public agencies when smart and honest Why not public-private organizations and people? It is not corporate welfare. They are partnerships
-
Because when the government gives money to corporations, it is not THEIR money to give. I don’t recall being asked if I wanted tax dollars going to rich buyers of electric cars or whether I wanted to bail out corporations who have run their companies into the ground.

It's representative democracy. Make your opinions known to them; you don't get a vote
-
Yes, I understand our form of government, a constitutional republic. My point was made solely in response to the person who equated the government giving money to Tesla et al, to actual business partnerships. But thanks.
