No, because extreme hardship is incredibly hard to prove. At the moment I am trying to get my green card under the fact that me leaving would cause Extreme Hardship to my spouse. It has been months and we are still "proving" the hardship Don't talk about what you don't know about

I am US Citizen who lived abroad & paid US taxes abroad. To move back to USA with wife of 2 years, rule was I had to move back without her & living apart for 18 mos. to 2 yrs." would prove our marriage real" to get her Green Card. That needs to be fixed. You illegal need to leave
-
We immigrated my husband to the US 3 yrs ago. He is Canadian and we had to do it outside the US. Took 2 years to finally get his green card.

Consulates have cameras everywhere so my being escorted out at gunpoint was filmed. I insisted to State Dept in DC that they pull the film and when they did, they gave us the Greencard immediately to make sure I did not sue them.

Yikes..I'm shocked but not surprised!

Worst part is I lived in Switzerland where salaries are high as expenses are higher. So, I had to pay US tax as I was over the threshold. So, I paid taxes & was treated like that. Citizens abroad are 2nd class Citizens. Now FATCA is killing them & ppl. like me who do biz abroad
-
America is even criminally brutal towards little children living in Switzerland who would like to have a local kiddie account for their pennies.

I had 2 bank accounts closed due to
#FATCA. 2 foreign banks in 2 different countries refused to have US customers for fear of being fined for mis-filling FATCA paperwork for US customers. My friend in Singapore lost his mortgage. He's so angry he is giving up his US Citizenship - 11 more replies

What's really bad is that US Citizens that are deported with family will be punished for the rest of their lives and chased by the IRS. The ones that are not citizens are lucky.

It doesn't actually surprise me as those subject to 212(a)(9)(B) the 3/10 ban can apply for a waiver under similar grounds as can Exchange Visitors subject to 212(e).
