That would require them to grasp currency theory and economics, so there you go.

Well as someone who'd prefer Socialism and owner of some Bitcoin and 6 other cryptocurrencies, lets debate it.. I'll go first - who created Bitcoin?
-
My name isn’t Google. Figure it out for yourself. Socialism is alive but not well in Venezuela - why not go there?
-
Funny how you omit Norway and Denmark, Finland etc. And yes, life is very good there.
-
Ever heard of “economy’s of scale”?
-
Tell us about it
-
Yes, and my free Socialist education will debate “economy’s” vs “economies” as an indicator of probable outcome

Because bitcoin is completely irrelevant to the problems of poverty? Just throwing that out there as a possibility.
-
Bitcoin is no more "money" than Picassos are. Rare? Check. Traded anonymously? Check. Somewhat reliableish yet anonymous-ish transaction log? Check. Volatile as shit? Check. Completely arbitrary value created by oligarchs bidding against one another? Check.
-
No stabilizing influences? Check. Held and traded almost exclusively as a highly speculative investment or a hedge against imaginary catastrophes? Check. All we need is PicassoChain technology, and Sam Altman will be masturbating all over us.
-
Stefan's argument translates seamlessly and without loss of power: If socialists wanted to help the poor so much, why didn't they study and promote Picasso, rather than whining about diversity?
-
The real problem here is Botcoin's, and it is that nobody wants to look at a Bitcoin.

-
if socialists want to help poor black and brown people in the global south, why don't they stop talking about them altogether and invest in speculative tech nerd coins. great point stevo
