Nope. Diversity hasn't done anything but lead to multi-culturalism which is the death knell to a native culture. And native isn't a bad word. I consider myself a native American because I was born here of American parents.

You are one of the few using the term correctly. As a Mayflower descendant, I've noticed how much Leftists falsely re-write our history. Native American was a term coined by European colonists to describe settlers born in America. You can check this w/ historical records.

diversity might be great if it works towards a common goal, not pull in different directions.
-
What are the benefits of diversity?
-
it all rather depends on what the goals are I suppose. If it is to destroy the country then none.
-
The best answer I have had to that question so far is curry. If we are putting our countries at risk because of curry then we really need to have a rethink.
-
curry is indian usually and we have little to fear from sikhs or hindus as far as I know.
-
Correct but you see the point surely. When you ask what are the benefits of diversity hardly anyone comes up with an answer.
-
multiculturalism should means different groups coming together, however what actually happens is they become separated and then some demand everyone fits in with them instead of the other way round.
-
Multiculturalism can only work if all cultures are compatible. Those that are no compatible form ghettos which is an accurate assessment of what has happened with the Muffin culture in the UK

i am now crying for the death of the word "unity", RIP. Long live diversity? what a world.
-
Absolutely. It's unity that holds mono-cultural societies like Amish who have their faith as the unifying factor and the immigrants from around the world who built the multi-cultural USA did so & successfully because they were united in believing in the American Dream.

Diversity is just a buzzword. It doesn't even mean diversity. In some circles it simply means fewer white people. In others it means fewer men. It's total nonsense.

There is a big difference between diversity, multiculturalism, and divisiveness. Intended vs unintended results. While it *can* be empowering to understand many cultures; forcing disparate and conflicting ideologies into tight spaces never works well.

The "Melting Pot" principle was a strength that saw the USA through World Wars, moulding teams not being different, the logic is not there historically...
