How long before employers look at Arts degrees as marks of rank stupidity and/or SJW danger?

Japan has already woken up. "Many social sciences and humanities faculties in Japan are to close after universities were ordered to 'serve areas that better meet society’s needs'..."http://bit.ly/2BIAfMM

The "everyone needs college" scam has diminished having a degree and the proliferation of subjects in which to degree has diminished it further.

Before???? I hire people who will collaborate with others on our team, are willing to work hard and be accountable for their work, resourceful and intelligent. We do not hire victims, finger pointers or overly sensitive shirkers.

I'd like to argue against that statement... Real "Arts" classes I have a soft spot for. Classical education, sculpting, painting, music theory, etc. But, it gets grouped in with social sciences.... I think unfairly. Art is important. People have warped the definition of art IMO.

Perhaps, but I think "employer" is the key word here. How many art majors can legitimately expect to get a decent-paying job with such a degree. If they did it for the love of art, sure, I guess.

Art teachers. Museums. Music business. Designers. Etc. Etc. It just depends. The problem is what I was saying, "art" being mixed in with social justice nonsense and tainted by something it was never a part of.

Employers look at many degrees skeptically already. Even science & engineering degrees are questioned. For employers, it's less about the degree and more about a candidate's portfolio of demonstrated work.

I know a dude who owns a few cafés. He absolutely *adores* arts majors, i.e. his natural recruitment pool --in his own words. They'll work for nothing and their pestilent friends will come and cough up for overpriced coffees and treats with ethnic names.
