An American newspaper which is owned and controlled by Mexican monopolist Carlos Slim is now advocating for direct political action to oppose the President of the United States. Why isn’t the New York Times required to register as a foreign entity?

I want to know why ANY owner of television and newspaper is allowed to be a person or entity that is not localized and present/taxed in the USA.

Carlos Slim may be the largest individual shareholder of NY Times Class A securities (at ~17% of Class A shares) but he owns none of the company’s Class B shares which actually govern the company and set policy. The Sulzberger family controls the NYT, and has for a long time.

It's beyond my comprehension that Americans willingly sacrifice their privacy, freedom, permit censorship & surveillance, allow cashless & RFID technology, all in the name of tribal, jingoistic rhetoric - ensuring that their standard of living is reduced for a fake slogan - MAGA
