Why should the American taxpayer send relief aid to a country known for chanting death to America?https://twitter.com/SenSanders/status/931589321727062016 …

Yesterday my colleagues and I sent a letter to Sec. Tillerson asking him to make it easier to send U.S. aid for Iranian earthquake relief. The U.S. has routinely offered to help the Iranian people in times of need. This time should be no different. pic.twitter.com/k56BmPUVeu

Because compassionate people help others when they're in need. Because "hearts and minds." Because "if some, then all" is a logical fallacy I learned to identify freshman year. Because people are dying right now.

We've homeless people in every city in America. Many of these people R veterans that fought 4 our freedom yet they sometime can't find a place 2 lay their head or enough food 4 even 1 meal a day. It's time we start caring 4 our people on the streets instead of other countries.

I suppose if your Rich but I'm retired on a fixed income so I have to pick the priorities to donate to, and our veterans are at the top of my list, then comes the other homeless in OUR country. Charity begins at home & until we take care of our own other countries can wait.

Berrrnie listen up! It's 'cuz money donated and sent to the Iranian gov't never make it to the people for aid. Very similar to Haiti when money was donated to @HillaryClinton foundation ppl starved/died.Money given to corrupt individuals aka HRC and Iran Gov go into their pocket.
