So in the past, it was "terrible imperialism" for Western nations to take natural resources from third world countries - but now it is just great to import the smart people from third world countries? Is intelligence not a natural resource? Help the poor - reduce immigration.

Stefan, I'm British but have spent 35 yrs working / living overseas. I've made extended visits to both India and China. There is NO case for immigration. The West has NEVER needed immigrants. It is a sick ruse, first concocted to drain the Pale of Settlement: accelerated post WW2

Haha what a silly comparison. A smart person who is educated elsewhere can still help their native country, and often do

Labour is a resource. Even if valued only by the individual. As to that age old question "how much is your time worth?"

In the past, people were 'imported' from other countries. It's called slavery.

Could the same argument be used for unskilled labour? Surely a country can't prosper without both.
