Bullying is an attack upon the runts of the litter - the weak of the species, and it is predicated on a lack of bond with the parents. If a child has a secure bond with the parents, that forms a force-field around the child in terms of bullying.

You have no clue what you are talking about. People are bullied a lot even if they have supportive parents. These two things rarely have anything to do with each other.

I think what he is saying is that if the child feels very supported by their parents, the effects of bullying are lessened. I agree, to a degree. Obviously bullying still happens and children can still be made to feel bad, they just feel less alone.

But that’s assuming the parents know that the child is being bullied. Usually kids who are bullied don’t speak up/ against their bullies, in fear of retaliation. This also happens in rape or sexual harassment cases and is why it takes a long time for them to speak out.

That's true, but a close enough relationship with their parents may make a child more likely to talk to them about it. Look, I had my own issues as a kid, my parents and I didn't see eye to eye on much. Some my fault, some theirs, so I can only give my perspectives two cents.

In very few cases do kids who get bullied speak up, no matter how close they are to their parents or friends. Take this from someone who was bullied as a little kid and didn’t speak up and knows friends who were bullied by other friends and didn’t speak up. It’s hard.

Oh I'm with you. I was also one who didn't speak up. It led me down a dark path I was lucky to escape. I'm not saying a good parental relationship makes you immune, it just makes you feel less alone. I felt very alone, and for the most part, I was.

I agree with you and sorry that you had to experience that, but understand this isn’t what Stefan is saying. He’s saying that bullies will attack those with weak familial bonds and if you have strong ones, you won’t get bullied. Maybe he doesnt mean this, but he worded it poorly.

If that's what he's saying then that I don't agree with. Strong familial bonds mean zero when it comes to who is bullied and who isn't, but can make a difference in coping with it when it happens.

I had to learn how to deal with bullies on my own. I carried a big stick and went bat shit crazy on a few. Then the word went out. I lived in peace.

Therein lies the problem being promulgated by the left, the belief that runts do not exist. The only way to equalize runts is to bring everyone to that status... ergo, the beta male

There's sadness to see what has happened to familes over the decades. A lot of kids now have to raise themselves.
