Everyone daydreams of being the king. Lord and master of all. Marxism gives a path to Elites that provides that fantasy in real life. They seldom recall the result after Stalin took power. Same for the French Revolution. They have power until they're executed by the "People".

Kind of makes you wonder, why, doesn't it? I mean Marxism has bloomed once. We can sit here in the comfort of our homes and study it. All the players. All the horror. It seems that intellectuals only want to hurt themselves: a kind of intellectual masochism.

Oh no no! Those previous forms of Communism didn't work because they weren't the right kind of Communism/Socialism/Marxism/etc. We just need to formulate and try another variation - perhaps the result will be different next time!
