It’s been easier to convince people to hand over half their income, their children to war, and their freedoms in perpetuity, than to engage them in seriously considering how roads might function in the absence of taxation.

It's easy to convince people to support their community voluntarily. But here in the West, we've burned down all our communities. Family, neighborhood, church, association, city, state - all gone or drained of blood. Only the mighty Federal Government remains.

Here in headupassland (CA) we get taxed to pay for the roads that never get fixed then they add another gas tax to supposedly pay for repairs then they divert all that money to the not so high speed rail system.

You said it brother. The left is impossible to reason with, I find, especially the young just out of High School. The Marxists have done their job too well it seems.

I do have to say they are dedicated to their craft of manipulation and brainwashing, it took them decades but they stuck it out and kept going. They will fail in the end though, even if they succeed first. The failures of the system they want will be quick to catch up.

So many are so thoroughly brainwashed that reason will not gain entry. Simply a mental disorder. It will lead to bloody war if they are not overwhelmed with numbers and crawl back to the shadows for a few generations.

That is one possibility, I have hope we will re-open our private mental institutions that used to lock people up voluntarily/ involuntarily, for forever. Also, actually enforcing laws on the books to their full extent, and not have revolving door prisons w/ repeat offenders.

First and foremost, The laws must be just; the Application, universal, and our culture maintained against aggressive ideologies from OUTSIDE, lest we create a thought police. That would go one step too far, I think.

Ah, I get what you are talking about. I was talking about enforcing laws like the Federal firearms laws (illegal possession as restricted person that is also committing a crime, straw man purchasing). Living near Chicago, they intentionally don't properly prosecute 'gang bangers'
