Slavery was still internationally popular in the 1770's. In the 1860's not so much. Things change.

Entire independent black communities were wiped out. Black men / leaders were repeatedly round up and killed during this time frame. Votes

Yeah no shit. But the world prospective of the enslavement of people changed. It started to be viewed as a crime.

Interesting but where did that perspective change besides the UK and USA? We still have slavery today many parts of the world.
