For over 10 years I've taken bc. Not to prevent pregnancy but for my migraines, my bleeding, my cysts, my cramps. All health issues.

if, as a taxpayer, you're fine with paying $21 billion per year for unplanned pregnancies, go ahead and take this stance.
-
contraceptive coverage SAVES the taxpayer $15.8 billion and prevents 760,000 abortions per year.

Sound public health policy? Fiscal responsibility? Pshaw. We legislate based on a Puritanical interpretation of the Bible in this country.

'I'd pay more in taxes if it meant we could stop women from having (and God forbid enjoying) sex.'

1/2I think it depends. The pill is sometimes use to treat some hormonal problems. I don't like how its sometimes used for skin care, but
-
2/2 for real mechanical problems, then yeah it's heath care. For preventing babies that such come out of your pocket.
-
BC is available only by prescription, changes hormone levels, and requires yearly checkups to get. All of it is actual medicine.
-
Yeah, but - expert on women's health "Carlos" - doesn't LIKE that it's used for skin care. Ladies... listen to Carlos!

And "mechanical problems" too! Sigh...minds are a terrible thing to waste.
-
I know, right?! I would describe viagra as treating "mechanical problems". And not sure what he's getting at with "pocket".

-
I've given birth three times. They don't come out of a pocket, you'll just have to trust me on this one.

Thank you. Most women take BC pills for BC—and it IS a health ish. These guys think pregnancy is like waiting for a car to be delivered.
