Um...its Julius Caesar guys, not a "Trump assassination play." Am I wrong? That play has always been political commentary. Shame on you.
-
It's clearly being used as another Kathy Giffins type shot at Trump, not political commentary. Proof of anti trump media witch hunt...
-
Oh it is, is it? Have you seen it??? And even if so...the play itself is just too subtle and complicated for a one-note partisan reading.
-
I watched the assassination scene and other parts, not only did it seem overly politicized, it was unecessarily critical of trump

The NYTimes is sponsoring The Public Theatre's summer Shakespeare in the Park, a NY institution for over 30 years. It's not just this show.
-
The Theatre should be protected absolutely, sponsors are pulling out because it looks bad to fund the assassination of a president lol
-
Sponsors can do what they like. (Though I think this is a silly and misguided instance for a corporation to make a moral stand over.)
