Nonsense. Most chaps quite rightly reason that other chaps should do all the fighting. And in fact there is a surprising number who are quite keen. Today, though, the little wars don't need large numbers of people, and the big one will be over before you know it.

WWII was a just war.

A lot of freedoms go out the window during war. War must be fought in an organized fashion. Unfortunately, there is no light between organized and tyrannical unless you are the organizer. So, we are mobilized to defend our way of life in times of war. Key is to disorganize fast.

Wrong! Not truth, naïveté. Humans don’t automatically make the best or right choices especially when threatened. That’s why, as humans, we willing accept leadership.

This is a fallacy. Similar to saying food should be free, and if people like the way it tastes then they will pay for it. And you do have a choice. If you do not want to be drafted you can serve prison time or leave the country. That's two options. Freedom is not free.

you live in a country

In some cases a draft has positives. It imposes upon men a disciplined life for a few years. And when their time is done, they're unleashed upon society with that disciplined set of behaviors. There are meaningful positives in that type of social policy.

Strange thought: When did people start thinking your society and way of life could survive being defeated in a war?
