Probably but I spent decades knowing it could happen at any time. The majority of the males in my family were wiped out in the two World Wars. The women survived.

So the women survived. Or better said, society protected women from war so they could raise the children. And perhaps become widowed single mothers. Yeah, so now women shouldn’t have anything to say about military action with an all-volunteer force. Makes total sense!
