This certainly applied to my mother, who was very upset to not be recognized for her efforts in organizing the March of Dimes charity at work. I, however, recognize that she left me and my brother with our abusive father... she didn't appreciate that recognition quite as much.
Fellas here’s where we are. Most women expect to be deeply appreciated for everything they do. They cannot thank man for being drafted.

I would happily thank any man who was drafted. My brother is 66 and is too young to have ever been drafted. He graduated HS in 1973 and the draft ended in 1971. I guess you want to be appreciated for registering for selective service. Very heroic indeed.
