I think he’s only pointing out that it’s not “free” healthcare and the massive cost is paid entirely by the working class.

It's not free and what we pay into the plan varies by province, but it's relatively low. We aren't taxed that much more, but get much more. He's partially right. The super rich in Canada pay a bit less income tax than their American counterparts on paper.
