I fully support the president's decision to withdraw troops from Syria. But I also don't know how to read this without thinking "Molyneux thinks it's not sad when people with low IQs die." Your IQ does not determine your value as a human being.https://twitter.com/StefanMolyneux/status/1181307724874731520 …

Average IQ in Syria is 83. Turkey is 90. They will never ever be like the West. If they fight, they fight. Protect ourselves, let the world be the world.

I remember when @StefanMolyneux was a Libertarian. Human rights do not depend on IQ. And IQ is not the only was to measure intelligence. It may well be biased toward the society that created the test.

East Asians score the highest and they didn't create the test so I guess it isn't biased towards the society that created the test.

This is a weak talking point. Just because other cultures do well on the IQ test doesn't mean it's not biased. Personally, I think IQ is a reasonable measure of intelligence. But intelligence ≠ value.

It means it is not biased towards the society which created it. Which is what I said. I did not say it is not biased at all. This is not a weak talking point. However right after you claimed it was, you continued talking on it. Clown.

Are you suggesting that the people who designed the IQ test did so in such a way that it favoured Orientals first and then Caucasians so as to hide a bias towards white people? If so, you are jumping through some serious mental hoops to discredit IQ.

No. Bias is often unconscious. I don't think there is a conspiracy to bias IQ tests. I'm just saying that the cultural advantages that Europeans have on the IQ test could plausibly be shared by East Asians. Or East Asians could also have cultural advantages that Europeans don't.

Like I said earlier, I think IQ tests are a reasonably accurate way to measure intelligence. Molyneux just pretends that IQ is much more important than it really is.

Justifying pulling troops out of Syria (a decision you agree will destabilize the conflict between the Kurds and Turks) by pointing out the average IQ of the residents of the region is the definition of pretending IQ is more important than it really is.

I don't choose my friends or decide which restaurant to work at by administering an IQ test to them. And pretending that the IQ of the people in the region should have any bearing on foreign policy decisions is just as ridiculous.

Stefan it makes libertarians look bad when you blithely suggest it doesn’t matter if lower IQ people slaughter each other is all I think Curt was saying. If a group has an IQ under 100 it’s not like they can’t farm or do some other productive endeavor
