What is to be smart? Being logical? Or having more knowledge?

Being logical and reasonable, with honest appraisal of things, and being able to teach yourself things etc. Having knowledge is just being knowledgeable or well informed. Educated just means you're officially qualified in a skill set, much like an academic trade.
