Very few movies stay with you, but Joker's claustrophobic nihilism clings on like nothing else. It feels like an authentic cultural moment, something which these days is few and far between.

More fake news. How can it be it the "truth" when we are talking about a fictional character?
-
Because there are universal truths in fiction, and like you said, there is fake news (starring nonfictional characters).

Isn’t it just Falling Down with makeup?
-
I love that movie.
-
One of the first Michael Dogulas movies I saw. I thought it was great! I haven't seen Joker yet but I'd like to. It seems like a similar thing - a man just cracks and goes on a killing spree because he feels society has failed him.

Alright Stef, I’ll watch it You had your video I watched about how bad this year has been, as a parent I can’t sit thru 90 minute shows. 10-30 minutes I’ll watch you almost every time as long as the subject interests me
-
I feel exactly the same. Shorter content please. I have a busy life.
-
Mr. Molyneux’s lengthier talks do give the needed context, I would like to watch them. They are condensed college courses. With all due respect it’s time better spent playing with my daughter.
-
I listen to them through a podcast app while doing something else: stuck in traffic or at the gym etc.
-
There is just no time. I love Rogan, have to pick and choose when I’m gonna devote 2 hours when there are other things I like better.
-
I do the same with the YouTube videos and play it thru Bluetooth in my car. I have a folder of videos under ten minutes and under 20. I really don’t have the time to listen to longer vids.

You wouldn't know the truth about Joker if it fell on your face and started to wiggle.

I got the sense that he never banged the neighbor. When he sneaks in to her apartment later, she is acting as if she only knows him by him living down the hall. Also, they show earlier scenes of their date and she disappears. All a delusion on his part.
-
Unless she has delusions, memory issues, multiple personalities or is just cruel pretending not to know him. She would have to have real mental issues to be with him.
-
How... HOW did you miss that she WAS a delusion??
