They’re under martial law from what I’ve heard, previously it seemed they would only prevent them from marching on National Day. Look like the additional 5-8k troops sent by Beijing had other plans.

I've heard it is an effective curfew because they're making sure rapid transit is shut down. But people are still allowed to go out, and patronize businesses so long as they're not dressed as protestors.
-
I see on periscope two people walking down a street with 20-40 shops are retail level. Less than a dozen at a crosswalk and a 7-11 with zero customers. So much for patronizing businesses.
-
It really depends what areas of the city people are in. The protesting is concentrated.

Curfew and moving troops into city. They may have a crackdown right before the anniversary.

Soon as the parade is over, China is going to hit Hong Kong hard...they better get ready. Without a 2nd amendment over there, they have to sacrifice a lot of people to fight back or bow down and become communists.

I don't think so! They have shut a few train stations at key protest sites and some shopping centres have closed but nothing else as of yet.

Not exactly Curfew, more like Martial Law. HK Police can 1. search your body without ground reasons. 2. shoot all kinda bullets to you if they wish 3. shut down MTR and Shopping malls 4. Set RoadBlocks everywher ..... Too many, can't list them allpic.twitter.com/VjCCQe6wMU

Hong Kong is a sanctuary city. Public display of religion is sedition under Bejing rule. Pray also for the Saints, extradition is a death sentence.
