Agreed, but many times (from my understanding) it starts people on the intellectual journey of the philosophical. Can you speak to that, and/or your thoughts on those things as a catalyst for the philosophical?

They're a shortcut. Psychotropics can be a powerful jolt to minds for healing or seeing the world in new ways but just as easily they can be leveraged in more frivolous less reverent pursuits.
