45 years later, reality hit them so hard, and they are depressed. Sorry it’s too late. My mom, a 50 years old woman, has a successful career, husband and raised a family in AFRICA !!!! Why must women in the west choose between a career and a family ?? They can do both.

My female divorced friends with children seem to be just as bitter. One spends a lot of time drinking and acting foolish. Also, the women initiate many of these divorces. I just don't see it amongst my unmarried friends as much.

The fact is you’re right about that. But I think the other fact is many women don’t feel fulfilled later in life. When your children get older they become a source of happiness that helps defeat the Loneliness and unhappiness that many childless women face when they’re older.

It depends on the relationship btw mother and child. Children of single moms do not feel as strong an attachment. I've met many lonely women with adult children.

You are correct. I think there is no general statement on it. I think relationships you have with your children are the determining factor. I’ve seen both sides but in my world I’ve seen more tending towards fulfillment in later years with their children. It’s relative.

I always told myself, that I would never have children. Well, at 25 a little surprise happened. And I couldn't be happier. (We're actually planning a 2nd) finding a job within my career can definitely make that difficult. Good local truck driving jobs, are hard to find.

Not new, growing up in the 50's and 60's many Moms (not mine) had seconol, methamphetamine, and valium in their medicine cabinets prescribed by their Drs. The study to do would be why, over the ages, have women been impaired living.
