A man abused by his mother has “mommy issues.” A woman abused by her spouse is never described as having “husband issues.” Man-hating is real.

Ever heard of daddy issues?
“Daddy issues” refers to neglect/abandonment. I’ve never heard a woman who was regularly beaten by her father referred to in that way. She gets sympathy. As she should.
