A man abused by his mother has “mommy issues.” A woman abused by her spouse is never described as having “husband issues.” Man-hating is real.

Mommy issues... daddy issues Nobody says wife issues or husband issues. Do they say that in Canada or something?

The problem is that feminists like to spread feminist stats about husbands abusing their wives. A lot of women are then influenced by those stats and wind up hating men even though they themselves have never been abused by their husbands.

It is an imperfect comparison. But the point is fair. Shaming and belittling the experiences of men is a tale as old as time.

“Daddy issues” refers to neglect/abandonment. I’ve never heard a woman who was regularly beaten by her father referred to in that way. She gets sympathy. As she should.
