When I was a child, I thought if I killed one (or any bug), it’s family would be devastated and seek revenge. I still don’t kill them.

When it comes to spiders, I use the tried and true cup and paper method. This is humane and allows me to feel benevolent as I toss the tiny creature back out into the frozen tundra of winter snow it so desperately needed to escape.

Used to kill all spiders on sight growing up in Canada. Then I traveled for a year in Australia. Down there spiders are your best friends if you live out in the bush They keep the flying bugs at bay.

I kill the black widows and anything that remotely looks like a brown recluse. That's the way it is.

It depends. If it's a brown recluse, the whole house is getting torched.

I practice and support this policy and have never had a problem. I love spiders with the exceptions of black and brown widows. And I suppose Brown Recluse, if I ever see one.
