I get the "don't capitulate" part, but what about the basic rules of civil discourse? Isn't that how you eventually find a way to reason with someone? What happens if you abandon that avenue?

It's like trying to reason with a wild tiger that only sees you as lunch. I get what you're saying and hopefully we can return to civil discourse, but right now reality is kill or be killed. The left doesn't think like we do. They don't believe in forgiveness or mercy.

Sadly, I can't dispute that, but it is sobering and concerning that leftist ideology has taken such deep root in our society and I fear where it's all heading.
