Also happens to be places where they have virtually no environmental laws, the populations are mostly not concerned or don’t know about recycling, and the rivers are used as garbage dumps.

Making new laws and installing trashcans is far easier than fundementally reworking the transport logistics system in the united states. Also, the top 10 largest ships produce more emissions than almost the whole populace (not businesses) of china.

Large commercial vessels primarily burn what's called Heavy Fuel Oil when out at sea. This fuel is not heavily refined, has high sulfur content and produces a lot of sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide compounds when it is burned.

I understand the issue of heavy fuel oil, but you made a claim about “emissions.” I was asking you to clarify and back up your claim.

My claim is that the united states disproportionately emits carbon due to our over reliance on vehicle logistics, and high standards of living. My facts are based off of Cumulative and Per-Capita data. But mostly, i think The OP is misleading his flock.

Everthing in relation to the UN is western unilateral. Asyl and human rights conventions are non-binding and only western countries have ratified them. The same logic here.

What can an average person do? pick up one plastic bag for recycling whilst major industries throw a million plastic bags out in the nature... Yes, lets yell at the person for not picking up more... Also yes, it is a global problem not a national problem without assumptions.

I agree that China and India now produce more CO2 emissions than the United States or Europe. This is a fact that @GretaThunberg would do well to note. However, a percentage graph can be disingenuous since 10% of a large nation’s emissions can easily eclipse that of the small. 🧐

The U.S., Europe, Japan, and China have the intellectual capital & wealth to lead the way to commercial fusion and next gen nuclear power (drop control rods if anything goes wrong & require no generators or external power). Like cell phones linked Africa, it will bring a leap. 🌈

A leap of power technology. Both in terms of fusion & next gen nuclear, algae biofuel production, and scalar solar and wind farm production, even solar satellites that can beam power to Earth as microwave beams. These will save our home without reducing us to Stone Age living. 🏹

In many European countries the support for climate change related regulation is basically bipartisan. Could it be that the politicians believe climate change to be a dishonest, but good way for the west to get rid of the influence the Middle Eastern oil states have on them?

Per capita, the untied states produces far more carbon. Its not even close to china or india. But you wouldn’t post that graph because it wouldn’t suit your narrative, because your goal is to remove guilt, not solve the problem.

Per capita is the amount of total emissions divided by the population. In areas where the Per-Captia is higher, individuals have a greater impact on the environment, vice versa.
